So that we may receive what we are asking for, let us pray in faith without any doubt that God can do the things we are asking from Him. Asking God a favour to do something which we cannot do. That is the meaning of prayer in the Bible. 4, 6 of the book of Philippians says, “Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. ” Have no anxiety about anything. In our lives on earth, there are so many anxieties, preoccupations, worries in life, problems in life. But we must not be troubled by any problem in life.
The only solution is in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. To pray to God is to make your request known to Him. So you have to direct your supplication and request to God. Prayer is requesting God for something or to do for you something which you cannot do or nobody else can do. That is the meaning of prayer to God. When we are asking God things beyond the comprehension and beyond the power of a man to do. The apostle Paul said, For example, your husband is sick. God, I’m kneeling down before You, knowing that You are the God that gives us our life. Please touch the body of my husband, heal him through Your power, and I will be very thankful to You. I ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. So, the prayer will be heard by God, because you are directly addressing Him your problem, your anxiety. And in so many ways, you can pray for every situation wherein you are in. For example, you are in a situation where there is an earthquake. You are praying to God for salvation. Father God, I know that You have power over nature. Kindly protect me in this situation, my family and my loved ones. And spare us from the wrath of Your anger. I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You, Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Something like that.
I do not have to say all the words, but prayer means request. Making our request be known unto God, and you will be favoured if you have faith in God. Only you must have faith while you are praying, because without faith you will not please God. 11, 6 of the book of Hebrews. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Without faith it is impossible to please Him. To please God and make your prayers be known unto God, you must ask in faith. What do we mean when we are asking or praying in faith? Let us read James 1, 6. “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.” So that we may receive what we are asking for, let us ask in faith without wavering, without doubts, without entertaining any negative thinking. Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. So that we may receive what we are asking for, let us pray in faith without any doubt that God can do the things we are asking from Him.
